One of our primary goals is to provide a safe and secure place for children to learn about Jesus and have fun. We do that through several measures, all of which are meant to keep our ministry secure and provide peace of mind for parents.
Each child is given a nametag with a number. When you check your children into their classes, the teacher or room leader will verify that each child’s number and nametag match your parent tag. When you come to pick up your child(ren) during communion time, you must show the parent tag to the teacher again and they will match it with the nametag before releasing your child.
We also have a monitor who watches the River City Kids entrance; no one without a volunteer or staff nametag will be allowed in the classrooms during services unless they have a parent tag.
Safety within the classroom includes a policy that no volunteer will be alone with a child or group of children under any circumstance. There will always be at least two volunteers with a child or classroom at all times — NO EXCEPTIONS.
Finally, all of our volunteers and teachers have had a national background check to provide added security and safety for your children.
If you have any questions or concerns about our security policies, please email Shannon Moser (email@example.com).
